Is there a Train from Maastricht to Brussels Airport?
There is no direct train, though you can get between the two destinations by train, if you are willing to make a few connections. In total, you will have to change between 3 trains in order to get to Maastricht.
To begin your trip, head to the train station in the airport. You can find the station by following the many signposts in the terminal, after passing through border control and luggage claim. Once there, locate the first train departing towards Brussels-Midi station, which will be your first trip of the journey. We must point out that you will need to purchase multiple tickets to make this trip, which will start to become quite costly.
After arriving at Gare du Midi, you will have to change over to another train provider, namely Thalys. This will require purchasing another ticket through their website, or by contacting them directly. The train to catch is the one towards Cologne, Germany, which makes a stop in Liege.
When you arrive in Liege, at the Liege-Guillemins station, make your final change, on yet another different provider to Maastricht. Your final train will be on the Dutch national rail trains, which have a blue and yellow colour motif.
In total, we calculate the cost of all trains to come close to €100, making this option for transportation both inconvenient and expensive.
