Is there a Antwerp to Charleroi Airport Train?
There is a train between the two cities, which is fortunate. The unfortunate part is that there is no train from Charleroi’s central station to the airport, which means you will have to rely on another transportation means from there, namely the bus. Nevertheless, if you wish to take on this journey, it is definitely a convenient choice, except the change. This guide is only applicable to trips during the day, as most train lines do not run during the night.
To begin your trip, head to the Antwerpen Central, the main train station in the city. Once there, check the departure board for the soonest departing train towards Charleroi, which will likely be an IC train. A single ticket costs €16.80, and can be purchased from one of the automated kiosks at the station.
Once you have your ticket, head to the correct platform and jump onboard the train. The journey will take one hour and 42 minutes to complete.
Once in Charleroi station, step outside and locate the bus stop. Catch the A1 bus to the airport, for a ticket costing a few euros. You will arrive there in 20 minutes, meaning the entire trip will take a little over 2 hours to complete.
