Alternative Transportation to Waikiki from Honolulu Airport
There are a number of other transportation methods available, such as car rentals or standard taxis. For car rentals, you get a lot more privacy, as well as the flexibility to plan your own trip. The downside of car rentals is the expensive insurance waiver you will need to pay, as well as getting used to the driving style in a foreign country.
For standard taxis, you run the risk of being ripped off by the drivers. Although in most cases the cab drivers will charge a fixed rate, sometimes they will allow their taxi meter to run for longer, or add hidden fees to the end price. For a Honolulu airport taxi which is pre-paid, removing all chances of surprises, book with AtoB.
Cheapest Way from Honolulu Airport to Waikiki
The cheapest way by far is by taking the bus. For just $3.00, you can get between the two destinations. If you are travelling with lots of luggage, or even young children, then it is highly recommended to book an airport transfer, as this guarantees that everyone can relax, and you won’t have to run to make it to the bus stop in time.
