In this article, we plan to go over every possible transportation method available, in the hope of providing you with the knowledge to get around like a local. Is There a Train from Edmonton Airport to Downtown?

There is no train that connects the two destinations, yet there is a combination of public transportation methods, one of which is a light-rail trip through the city, supplemented with a bus ride. This is also the quickest public transport method available, thus we shall cover here in some detail.

From the airport, you will need to catch the 747 bus toward Century Park Station. This journey will take around 25 minutes, with only 3 intermediate stops along the way. The price of a ticket is only a few dollars, and can be purchased from the automated kiosks. You can use the same ticket on the tram as well.

Speaking of trams, once you have arrived at Century Park, you will need to connect to a tram, namely the Capital tram, toward Clareview. This ride will take 23 minutes, with 10 intermediate stops along the way. You will need to alight the tram at the Churchill stop, which is the closest to the center.

Getting a Bus from Edmonton Airport to Downtown

There is in fact a bus route that follows the exact same path as the previous entry, yet, instead of catching a tram, you will just jump on another bus. Naturally, due to travelling by road only, this method will take slightly longer than the previous, but only by a few minutes.

Starting in the same way as above, head to the bus station at the airport and catch the 747 bus toward Century Park. Once there,  you will be able to choose between two buses, either the 709, which will get you to the centre in 18 minutes, or the 009, getting there in 23 minutes.

After deciding on which bus to take, jump on board, having already purchased your tickets, and enjoy the ride.

Cheapest Downtown to Edmonton Airport Transport
