Best Way to Get from Limassol to Paphos Airport

We often begin these articles with what we consider to be the “best” way to get from one destination to another. The usual answer to this, is that what is considered best, varies from person to person, and thus we cannot really provide a universal ‘best’. Nevertheless, by providing all possible options, we give you the opportunity to choose the method which best aligns with your travel style, be this either on public transport, or in luxurious transfers.

Let’s discuss the two cities a little, so you can get a taste of what is in store for you. Paphos is full of culture and heritage, with ancient ruins and ruins left from the Roman Empire. It also has amazing beaches and plenty of outdoor activities to offer.

Meanwhile, Limassol is the perfect city to witness a melting pot of Cypriot and other cultures, where you can witness the impressive development of the city into a global hotspot. It’s a city full of stunning beaches, casino resorts, archaeological museums and excellent local cuisine. So, if you want to chill out and relax, or get an opportunity to explore the culture and city life of Cyprus, then these two cities are both great destination choices!

Is there a Paphos to Limassol Train or Tram?

There is not. Cyprus does not offer railways, mostly due to its relatively small size, meaning there has not been much need for a train service. Due to this, you will have to rely on other public transportation methods to get from Paphos to Limassol, namely the bus, which we shall discuss in the following section.

Taking a Bus Paphos Airport to Limassol

Fortunately, there is a handy bus which runs straight from the centre of Paphos to Limassol at convenient intervals throughout the day, every day of the week. If you are planning to take the bus from the airport to Limassol, though, you will first need to take the airport bus to the centre of Paphos, and from there take a connecting bus to Limassol. It is a relatively straightforward journey, although you are always at risk of missing a bus, and having to wait in the scorching Cyprus sun.

When arriving at the airport, head outside to the bus stop and catch the 613 bus towards the Old Market bus stop. This bus departs roughly every two hours, starting at 8am until 7pm. The ticket will cost just €1.50 for a one-way trip, and can only be bought directly from the driver. Buses in Cyprus only accept cash payments, so make sure you have some spare coins on you.

When you arrive at the Old Market station, which should take around 20 minutes, you will have to wait for your Intercity bus to arrive. To check the timetable of the buses, head over to their official website. When boarding the bus, you will once more need to pay the driver directly for your ticket, who will also only take cash. The price of a ticket from Paphos to Limassol is €4.00 for a one-way ticket.

There are 6 stops in Limassol, starting from the New Port, all the way to Saint Georgios Chavouzas Church. Make sure to see where your accommodation is, and alight at the best stop for you.
