Getting a Paphos to Nicosia Bus
As said, this is the sole mode of transportation available through public transport for a Paphos to Nicosia ride, but it is a convenient and affordable way, nonetheless. If you are arriving at Paphos Airport and want to get to Nicosia, you will first have to take a bus from the airport to Paphos city centre, followed by the intercity bus. In total, the trip should take 2 hours 15 minutes, and cost around €10 in total for both buses.
After landing at the airport and picking up your luggage, head outside to the bus stop. You will need to catch the 613 bus to the Old Market station. Tickets can be bought directly from the driver and will cost €1.50. Buses in Cyprus only accept cash, thus it is imperative you carry some coins on you to pay for both buses. Once you reach the station, either wait for your Intercity bus to arrive, or get on immediately if it is already there.
Once more, you will need to pay the driver directly, who also only accepts cash. After buying your ticket, make sure to keep it on you for the duration of the trip, as random ticket checks are not uncommon. Take a seat and enjoy the ride, you will be able to see Cyprus’ coastal highway for a while, before arriving at the endpoint of your Paphos to Nicosia bus ride.
Make note that there are a number of stops in Nicosia prior to arriving at the city centre, so make sure you know the name of your bus stop to avoid getting off at the wrong one. To check all the stops during the Nicosia to Paphos trip, you can head over to the official Intercity Bus website.
