Now to talk a little bit about the two areas, both in the Paphos region of western Cyprus.

On the southwestern coast of Cyprus are the city of Paphos, and its close neighbour Polis, connected by a winding road through the hilly region. Paphos was historically the capital of Cyprus and remains a popular tourist spot, with ancient Roman ruins scattered around. Meanwhile, Polis Chrysochous is an area of outstanding natural beauty filled with plenty of beaches, a popular camping site, and an overall relaxed vibe.

One of the best parts of the trip is undoubtedly the drive between the two. On the way there, you’ll get to see some of the most stunning landscapes Cyprus has to offer, including quaint countryside villages hidden in the hills, winding rivers, and rocky hills. All of this, coupled with an accent of sun-drenched locals and delicious Cypriot food at local taverns, makes for an unforgettable journey. So, let’s now check out the trip!

Is there a Paphos to Polis Train?

Catching a Paphos to Polis Bus

Luckily, the bus trip for a Paphos Airport to Polis ride is relatively straightforward, affordable and somewhat comfortable. In total, you will have to take 2 buses, one from the airport to the centre of Paphos, followed by an additional bus from there to Polis.

Your first bus can be caught as soon as you leave the arrivals terminal at Paphos airport. Look for the long blue buses, and find the one numbered 613. Get on board and pay the driver.
