More About Černá Hora Ski Resort

The Cerna Hora, not to be confused with a town of the same name, is a ski resort in Czechia situated at the highest point of the Krkonose Mountains and is a popular destination for winter holiday makers. The resort spans across two hills, Cerna Hora and Hromovka, with incredible views and a wide range of slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

The ski lifts service around a dozen different runs, with four being designated for beginners, five for intermediates and three for advanced skiers. The resort also has a wide variety of terrain parks, including a Big Air jump park and various small slopestyle parks. As well as skiing and snowboarding, there are plenty of other activities available, such as ice skating, sleigh rides, and snowshoeing.

During the summer, visitors can explore the beautiful Krkonose mountains on one of the many trails or try out canyoning and forest minigolf. For dining and nightlife, there is a range of restaurants and bars in the village, offering traditional Czech cuisine and local beers. The Cerna Hora ski resort is a perfect location for a winter holiday, with plenty of activities and breathtaking views.

How Do I Get from Prague to Černá Hora by Train?

Unfortunately, there is currently no train line running between Prague and the Cerna Horna ski resort. Any train route would require combining trains with multiple bus trips, making it inefficient. However, there are reliable and comfortable buses which can bring you to the ski resort from the city in around two and a half hours. Alternatively, if you book a luxurious AtoB transfer you can reach the ski resort in half the time.

Getting a Bus Prague to Černá Hora?

A bus can get you from Prague to the nearby town of Janské Lázně, which will then require you to take an additional SkiBus to your final destination in Cerna Hora. You will have to catch Bus 690250 2 from the Cerny Most bus station in Prague, which runs twice, at 8.30am and 11.30am. The price of the ticket is €15 for a one way trip, and can be purchased online through the Czech transport website. The trip to Janské Lázně will take almost 3 hours, but promises some beautiful scenery along the way.

Travel Tip: Pack some food and drinks for the journey, it will be a long one with no stops!
