Is there a Train from Rome Airport to Trevi Fountain?
Fiumicino Airport
You can combine a quick train, followed by a metro ride to reach the famous fountain. In total it should take around 50 minutes, and will cost €8-14 for the train ride and €1.50 for a 100 minute metrocard. You can choose to either buy a card, or pay contactlessly with your card or smartphone.
From the airport, board the RV train that ends at Roma Termini. You can check the departure board to ensure you get the correct one. It is a direct route, meaning there are no stops along the way. After reaching the station, you will need to walk to the Metro station, which is just outside the station.
Board Metro A, and travel for a total of 2 stops to the Barberini station. Alight there, and you will need to go to ground level, and walk roughly 650 metres to reach the fountain. Head south-west on the main Via del Tritone street, turning left at Tritone/Fontana Trevi bus stop. The fountain is easy to find, as there are numerous sign-posts located in the city.
Ciampino Airport
Similarly to above, you can also take a brief train ride, followed by the same Metro journey to get to the fountain. From Ciampino airport, you will need to board the Airlink rail, which will take you to the Roma Termini station. The price of a ticket is €2.70, and they can be purchased from kiosks at the airport.
After reaching the Termini station, you will need to go outside and walk down into the underground Metro station. Board the A line, and travel two stops to the Barberini station. From there, you will need to walk 650 metres south-west to reach the fountain.
Travel Tip: As the distance from the Termini station isn’t too far, you can even walk after getting off the train, especially if the weather is nice!
