Get ready, because this is a long trip! With a transit time of 3 and a half hours, you will be stuck in a bus for quite a while, although the beautiful scenery is sure to make up for that.
From Denver Airport, head to the rapid transit station in the main terminal. It is easily located, thanks to the many signposts located throughout the airport. Once you locate the correct tram, namely the A Line to the city centre, make sure to buy your tickets from one of the kiosks, and jump on board.
The A Line Tram will drop you off at Union Station, from where you will need to make your way to the other side of the station, in order to catch your bus to Vail. The bus to catch is the “Pegasus” bus, provided by the Colorado Department of Transportation. The name will be visible on the bus, so you won’t have to worry about not locating it. A single ticket to Vail costs $20, and can be purchased at the station.
