How to Get from Ayia Napa to Larnaca Airport?
If, for some reason, you prefer to take an alternative transportation method from Larnaca to Ayia Napa, you are able to do so, although it will be a much less convenient form of transport. The only public transportation option available is to take the bus from Larnaca to Ayia Napa, as Cyprus does not currently have a train or metro line.
Unfortunately, there is no direct public bus which runs from the airport to destinations in Ay.Napa, meaning one will have to take an initial bus to old town Larnaca first. We shall discuss the entire trip in the following section.
Larnaca to Ayia Napa Transportation Options
Getting a Bus from Ayia Napa to Larnaca
You will need to catch an initial bus from the Airport into the old town of Larnaca. There are a number of buses which service this route, namely the 407, 425, 429, 430, 431, 432 during the day, and 446 and 456 in the evening. You will need to disembark the bus at Larnaca station, which is located in the town centre, from where an additional bus to Ay.Napa will need to be boarded.
You can choose to take the blue OSEA buses, namely the 711 route, which will take you to the town (at either the Marina or town centre), or the Green intercity buses Ayia Napa to Larnaca route, which will cost slightly more.
The bus stop at the airport is located outside departures, and not at arrivals. Make sure you don’t go to the wrong stop, as there are only expensive shuttle buses located on the arrivals level. Additionally, you can find tickets only on the buses. As you will be taking two buses, you will need to pay two prices, namely €2.00 for the first, and €1.50 for the latter.
