Is there a Train from Lisbon to Cabo da Roca?

Well, kinda. In order to reach your destination, you will need to catch a Metro, a Train, and a Bus, meaning you get to enjoy a little of each during your journey. The journey with public transport is not an efficient one, yet, for those who are concerned with overspending on transportation, it seems to be the most affordable option – we will discuss this point in a later section.

From the centre of Lisbon, catch the Metro at the Intendente station, getting off at Areeiro. From the Metro station, you will need to walk a block over to the train station, which isn’t far. After arriving there, check the departure board to see when the train to Sintra departs, as well as which platform it is leaving from.

When you arrive in Sintra, which will be the longest leg of your trip, head to the bus station outside to catch the final part of your trip. The 1624 bus goes directly to your desired destination, passing through the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

In total, tickets will cost around €20 per person, with each connection needing a different ticket. You can luckily buy each one at convenient kiosks at the stations for each stop.

Travel Tip: Enjoy the ride, even if it may be long!

With a wide range of extra add-ons, such as child seats, additional stops, and even a language preference, you get to travel your way. Our service is especially useful for this trip, as your driver can wait for you while you enjoy the view, then take you back to Lisbon!
