Is there Public Transport from Istanbul Airport to Taksim Square?

There is indeed public transport to get you between the two locations. A combination of a metro ride, followed by a short bus trip will get you to Taksim square in around 1 hour and 20 minutes. There is a little bit of walking involved as well, so be sure to have your walking shoes ready!

Beginning from the airport, locate the metro station and purchase a ticket. You will be able to use the same ticket on the metro and bus. The cost of a single ticket is 34 lira, which is around a euro.

Take the M11 metro for 5 stops, disembarking at the Kagithane stop. Walk upstairs and outside, and locate the bus stop. You will need to take the 46T (toward Topkapi), disembarking at the Taksim Tunnel stop. From there, walk around 100 metres to the square.
