1. Amathus Ruins

This place is 10 km (6.2 miles) away from the Limassol City centre and it takes around 23 minutes to ride by car. The Amathus archeological site is open every day Monday- Sunday from 08:30 am- 05:00 pm. The entrance ticket cost 2.50 euros per visitor.

2. Kourion Archeological Site

It was one of the most powerful city kingdoms of ancient Cyprus. Its majestic places, the theater, the treasury, a palaestra (ancient Greek wrestling school), the temples, the baths, the market, show us how developed the ancient inhabitants of the region were. You can spend the whole day discovering the incredible creations of an ancient civilization.

Ancient Kourion is situated 19 km (12 miles) away from the Limassol old town. It takes around 25 minutes to get there by car. The entrance ticket cost 4.50 euros per visitor. Operating hours for the summer season are different from the winter season. In the summer period April 16 – September 15 Kourion is open daily: 08:30 – 19:30.

3. Aphrodite’s Rock Beach (Petra tou Romiou)

Aphrodite’s Rock Beach (Petra tou Romiou) is also known as the place of Aphrodite’s birth. This is the most romantic and picturesque place to visit in Cyprus. A lot of legends and stories surround this magic place. Seize the opportunity to discover it! While some visitors come to Aphrodite`s Rock for the scenic views, it is also a popular swimming spot.
